All our hot-smoked salmon has a rich, refined and smoky flavor. As the name suggests, we smoke the salmon at warmer temperatures using oak and beech wood smoke.
Atlantic salmon is farmed in cages in seawater. The salmon is transferred to freshwater tanks or cages for stripping. Atlantic salmon is farmed in its natural habitat in the icy, clean, deep fjords of Norway where it is closely monitored to ensure traceability. The Norwegian government imposes strict regulations on salmon farming, for example, regarding the quantities of fish that may be raised. Flash frozen immediately after production to preserve freshness, taste and texture.
